A circa 1970's Japanese fine silk Kimono jacket. It has a lovely hand-tied polka dot shibori batik finish to the outer and is fully lined with silk. A unique hand-made and high-quality example of Japanese textile art.Due to the intricate nature, shibori is one of the most expensive and labour intensive ways of dying fabric. CONDITION Very good vintage condition overall. There is some minor age spotting visible on some of the white shibori 'dots'. Silk lining may have some minor imperfections.
