A circa 1970s Japanese fine silk Kimono jacket. It has a wholly hand-tied Shibori batik finish (the patterns and texture of the jacket are the results of meticulous handwork - each 'point' of the pattern has been tied off by hand before the fabric is dyed resulting in a textural organic finish). The jacket is fully lined. Due to the intricate nature, shibori is one of the most expensive and labor intensive ways of dying fabric.
