Black and Grey Silk Kimono Jacket with Full Shibori Batik Finish

An amazing circa 1970s Japanese fine silk Kimono jacket. It's made from pure silk and has a wholly hand-tied Shibori batik finish (the patterns and texture of the jacket are the results of meticulous handwork - each 'point' of the pattern has been tied off by hand before the fabric is dyed resulting in a textural organic finish) and is fully lined. Due to the intricate nature, shibori is one of the most expensive and labour intensive ways of dying fabric. Learn about Shibori here.
